The photo shows an arch bridge located in the small Kromlau in the Görlitz district near the Polish-German border. The bridge was made of basalt stones, which were brought from quarries in Saxon Switzerland, among others. It is small, but its construction could have taken up to ten years.
The building looks great in photos, because the structure and the reflection in the water surface create a perfect circle. The best photos can be taken in spring or autumn. This effect cannot be achieved in winter, because the lake freezes and there may be a lack of water in summer.
