Monika Piecuch
I have been running my own company since 2005.
I have been painting since 2018, using various techniques and types of paints, such as acrylic, watercolour and oil paints. My works are not only an expression of my passion, but also a combination of my experience as an interior designer. I mainly paint paintings for interiors, often designing them with the intention of using them as wallpaper.
I am inspired by the world of new trends, which is why I regularly visit prestigious events such as Salone De Mobile in Milan and Ambiente in Frankfurt am Main to keep up to date with the latest achievements in design and interior design.
My works are mainly characterised by structural abstractions, in which I use the impasto technique to express my emotions and expression. Thanks to this technique, my paintings exude strength and clarity, which attracts the viewer’s attention and focuses it on the work for longer. Every detail is carefully considered to create compositions that not only decorate the space, but also stimulate the imagination and emotions of viewers. Sometimes I reach for intense, vivid colors that add energy and dynamism to my paintings. However, just as often I create works in monochromatic tones, where deep shades of one color or subtle combinations of neutral tones give my paintings elegance and peace. This variety in the choice of colors and tones allows me to experiment with different moods in my works, which makes them even more fascinating.
When painting with acrylic paints, I sometimes use the technique of applying an additional layer of canvas. I create such paintings mainly in the case of delicate and subtle monochromatic colors, which allows me to achieve even greater depth and coherence in the composition. The additional layer of canvas then emphasizes subtle color nuances and gives the work a unique character and expressiveness.
When painting watercolor paintings, I love to add structural lines to them, especially those in gold and silver. These additional elements give my works elegance and luxury character, creating a subtle contrast between the delicacy of watercolor and the metallic shine of the lines. Thanks to them, the paintings gain originality and exceptional charm, attracting the eye and giving them a unique expression.
